Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our fresh produce operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control measures.

Key Responsibilities:

* Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure the freshness, safety, and quality of our products.

* Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and standards governing the fresh produce industry, ensuring full compliance in all aspects of our operations.

* Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards.

* Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and development initiatives, focusing on enhancing quality and meeting customer preferences.

* Food Safety: Oversee food safety protocols and procedures, including HACCP, GMP, and SOPs, to minimize risks and ensure the highest levels of food safety throughout the supply chain.

* Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the technical aspects of our operations and implement effective solutions to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

* Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the technical team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.

* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to quality control, regulatory compliance, and technical operations.

* Training and Development: Coordinate training programs for staff to enhance technical skills, knowledge, and awareness of quality and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

* Proven experience in a technical role within the fresh produce industry, with a strong understanding of quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

* Excellent knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including BRC, GlobalGAP, and relevant food safety certifications.

* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

* Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve complex technical problems.

* Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices.

* Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, SQF) is highly desirable.
