Do you have experience of new build housing and are looking for your next career move?
Sphere Solutions is working in partnership with a residential developer to secure a Technical Manager to join their Cornwall-based team, offering design and technical management on a range of housing schemes. The successful candidate will take ownership for the design and delivery of schemes, working collaboratively with other heads of departments to deliver a streamlined approach.
You will have a background in Architecture / Design management of residential schemes and take the lead on managing the design and approval of projects from planning stages through to completion. With an emphasis on pre-construction, which will include planning conditions, environmental impact and financial budgets.
This role is very much hands-on and a 360-approach includes feasibility, reviewing core house types/design, management of external consultants, planning applications, specifications and ensuring design reviews during the construction phases.
To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
* Design / Technical management experience direct for a housing developer or in Architectural practice with a minimum 5 years’ experience
* Knowledge of modern/economic build methods, RIBA stages, efficient design techniques and sub-structures
* Preference for either HNC or degree qualification in construction or architecture, but not essential
* Live within a commutable distance to Truro
* Full Driving Licence as sites will be across county.
