Technical Manager
Location: Leicester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (on-site)
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE
About the Role: Our client, a renowned name in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join their team. This is a pivotal role, as the successful candidate will be the most senior technical person on site, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the technical team to maintain and enhance quality assurance processes.
* Oversee all aspects of technical operations, including New Product Development (NPD), specifications, and raw materials.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety standards and regulations.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the technical department.
* Collaborate closely with production, supply chain, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
* Provide technical expertise and support to all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a technical management role within the manufacturing/FMCG sector; experience in food manufacturing is highly preferable.
* Strong background in quality assurance, NPD, and raw materials management.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
