Technical Lead

Description:

My Agency client based in London are looking for a contract Tech Lead for an initial 4 week contract to start this week. They need someone used to working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once.

Location - Remote and London office (Tuesday- Thursday are office days) - near Oxford Circus.
Duration: 1 month (chance of extension tbc)

Outside IR35

• Strong experience leading technical delivery using C# .NET Core alongside modern front end architectures such as SSG or SPA frameworks (Astro, SolidJS, React, Vue, or similar)

• Hands on technical leader who stays close to the codebase and supports implementation when required

• Works closely with non technical teams such as UX, design, and delivery to translate technical complexity, effort, scalability, and reliability into clear decisions

• Owns and drives quality assurance standards across projects

• Proven experience working within fast paced digital or advertising agency environments

• Leads both front end and back end developers, with strong understanding of challenges across the full stack

• Background in hands on development across multiple web technologies

• Comfortable adopting new tools and approaches, including AI driven solutions and API integrations

• Experience managing day to day technical resourcing across multiple concurrent projects

• Strong understanding of project workflows and delivery tools such as JIRA

Role context:

This role sits within a busy advertising agency delivering multiple client projects at the same time. You will work alongside existing technical leads to support a growing pipeline of work, including website builds, microsites, and ongoing development oversight.

You will balance leadership with hands on delivery, supporting developers, contributing technically when needed, and engaging in internal stakeholder meetings as well as occasional client interaction.

Versatility is essential. You will often manage several projects in parallel and switch context quickly. Successful candidates bring both front end and back end experience rather than a narrow technical focus.

Exposure to AI tooling and understanding how AI integrates into APIs and workflows is strongly valued. Azure hosting experience is beneficial.

You will be working on a mix of digital channels, including Maintenance Updates, campaigns, brand guardianship tool, Interactive Map, content updates, agent demo etc
