Technical Engineering Manager-Commercial Gas Sector
Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk, some WFH available.
£60K-£71K plus car or car allowance
Are you senior engineering professional with experience of design, construction, maintenance and decommissioning all gas assets (Mains, Services Multi-occupancy Buildings, Valves, Pressure Reduction Installations, Meters) looking for a prestigious position with a large, national utilities infrastructure business?
The company have a great reputation for professionalism and training and progressing their staff. The position is based at their head office offering an excellent working environment. Further medium to long term progression is available.
The positions main focus is to provide technical assurance across all gas activities, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, Industry Standards and codes of practice.
The Role
Full time, permanent, senior position within a large, national utilities infrastructure business.
Responsible for providing technical assurance and subject matter expertise across all gas activities.
Fulfil the role of Gas Networks Design Approver and act as Technical Advisor under GIRS for all gas activities.
Lead and support external and internal technical audits, including GIRS and CoMCoP, acting as the technical authority
The Person
Academic/working background within the engineering sector
Working experience of the design, construction, maintenance and decommissioning of gas assets
Working knowledge of the Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS).
Safe Control of Operation AE up to 2 bar.
