Technical Engineer

We're recruiting for an ambitious Technical Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business where you'll play a key role in designing, developing and improving products from concept through to production.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking engineering team where your ideas will be valued, you'll work on varied projects, and no two days will be the same.

Working alongside the Engineering Manager and wider technical team, you'll be involved in every stage of the product development process, including:

* Designing and developing new products using 3D CAD software.

* Improving and redesigning existing product ranges to enhance performance and manufacturability.

* Producing detailed manufacturing and customer drawings.

* Creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and maintaining product data.

* Managing prototypes, testing and product validation.

* Supporting production with technical expertise and troubleshooting engineering issues.

* Designing bespoke customer solutions and technical specifications.

* Developing jigs, tooling and process improvements to increase efficiency.

* Planning engineering projects and ensuring they are delivered on time.

* Working closely with manufacturing, quality, sales and customers to deliver innovative engineering solutions.

We're looking for someone who enjoys problem solving, thrives in a manufacturing environment and is passionate about engineering.

You'll ideally have:

* A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or a similar Engineering discipline.

* Around 18 months or more experience within a design or technical engineering role.

* Strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred).

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.

* A practical, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.

* Experience within manufacturing, fabrication or sheet metal would be highly advantageous.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
