Company
We are working with a leading game developer and publisher who are expanding its technical team, driven by innovation and excellence in game development.
Role
They are looking for an Associate Technical Director with a strong background in game development, system architecture, and team leadership to join their dynamic team in Cambridge.
Your Responsibilities
* Collaborate with game developers, designers, and other technical directors to define and implement the technical vision and strategy for current and future projects.
* Oversee and mentor a team of engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality code and robust technical solutions.
* Develop and maintain scalable and efficient game systems and architectures, applying advanced programming principles to enhance features, develop tools, and streamline workflows
Key Skills
* Minimum 5+ years of technical leadership experience in the game development industry, spanning AAA and indie studios.
* Proficiency with game engines like Unreal Engine, Unity, and custom C++ engines, along with strong programming skills in C++, C#, Python, and VR development.
* Proven abilities in problem-solving, proactive leadership, and effective communication of complex technical concepts, coupled with experience in mentoring engineering teams, fostering innovation, and driving technical excellence.
