Role: Technical Coordinator
Location: Islington
Our client is a well-established, multi award winning main contractor with an excellent reputation within the new build private residential market. They are frequent nominees of the top 20 construction companies to work for within the UK and have an excellent staff retention rate.
An exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our clients project team based in Islington has arisen. This opportunity is for a 6 months period but has the scope to go permanent for the right person. The scheme is a new build of 99 residential units (RC Frame).
Day to Day responsibilities include:
* Being proactive, setting up workshops with consultants and subcontractors to better review times and gain Status A without multiple rounds of comments.
* Manage subcontractor Packages – Gaining consultant/ LABC/ Building control & client approval.
* Tracking subcontractor deliverables to report to the Technical Manager weekly/ fortnightly. To include expected drawing dates and then status of the review.
* Organising any samples required from the above packages for approval
Packages to manager: SFS/ Architectural Metalwork (including balustrading, cills, window heads, external soffits)/ Landscape (dependant on client instruction with podium)/ Screed & flooring/ fire stopping. Potential for involvement in the drylining dependant on workload & timings.
This role would suit someone that is available on either a weeks notice or immediately. You MUST have previous experience working on high rise Residential projects with either a Developer or a Main Contractor.
