Job Description: Technical Coordinator

Location: Head Office, New Forest, Hampshire

This company is renowned for its groundbreaking application of robotics and technology in agriculture, with 50 robots currently deployed in the ‘field’ picking strawberries. They are a small dedicated and extraordinary team producing results way beyond industry expectations. They welcome the chance to guide and mentor the right person into the Technical Coordinator role. Personal skills as a great communicator and a quick learner are qualities that are sought after. Skills within Quality Assurance, Junior Technologist (any industry) are desirable. Position: Technical Coordinator

Sector: Fresh Produce (Growers + Marketing + Technical)

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support

Provide technical support and coordination for key growers.

Assist in the implementation and monitoring of innovative agricultural technologies.

Get involved in the smooth operation and maintenance of robotic systems in the ‘field’.

* Communication:

Act as a liaison between the head office, growers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless information flow.

Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.

Coordinate technical meetings and training sessions for staff and growers.

* Project Management:

Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of technical projects.

Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring timelines are met.

Provide support in the development of project documentation and technical manuals.

* Quality Assurance:

Monitor and evaluate the quality of produce and adherence to technical standards.

Implement and oversee quality control measures.

Conduct regular field visits to ensure compliance with best practices.

* Innovation and Technology:

Stay updated with the latest advancements in agricultural technology.

Participate in the research and development of new technological solutions.

Support the deployment of new technologies in the field.

Requirements:

* Experience:

Previous experience in a technical role within the agriculture or fresh produce sector is advantageous but not essential, personality and interpersonal skills are important.

* Skills:

Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and technical software applications.

Personal Attributes:

Energetic, and enthusiastic individual with a great personality.

Ambitious with a strong desire to kick start a fulfilling career in the fresh produce sector.

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
