Technical Buyer
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Isle of Wight
Hours: 37.5 hours per week ( worked flexibly)
Days: Monday - Friday
Duration: Temp to Perm
Duties:
Sourcing of electronic components and mechanical assemblies based on MRP system demands
Management of sub-contract manufacturing schedules in-line with customer demands
Problem solving and sourcing of hard-to-find parts
Supplier monitoring and evaluation
Working with schedulers to meet strict project/ order deadlines.
Supplier audits and identification of new suppliers
Management and reporting of quality issues related to supplied parts
Expediting orders
Experience:
Purchasing or supply chain experience with the engineering/ manufacturing sector, preferably including electronic components
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with external companies and internal team members
Strong organisational skills, data driven decision making with the ability to identify bottlenecks and prioritise workload
High level of computer literacy and the ability to lean new systems.
Salary: £15 - 17.50 per hour worked (Dependent upon experience)
