Description:

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment have partnered with a global manufacturing and distribution company in their search for a Technical Author! This is an 8-12 month contract.

Our client is highly regarded for their innovative approach, core values, and outstanding reputation as an employer. As they push forward, they are actively seeking a driven Technical Author to take on a pivotal role in their manufacturing operations.

Working in collaboration with the Quality Manager, you will be producing and controlling high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of the company’s products and services on their journey to be best in class!

Key responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organisational requirements.
Create a user-friendly library of related documents.
Drive the standardisation of processes and implementation standard practices.
Work proactively with managers to evaluate current documentation or processes and develop innovative methods for improvement.
Create tutorials to support staff to ensure adherence to relevant tasks or activities.
Communicating with internal management teams, departmental heads and general teams, and external regulatory authorities, customers, contractors, and consultants
Support special projects, as required, utilizing previous experience.  Projects currently scheduled, requiring support, include:

Transition of ERP system including all related updates to SOP’s/WI required by the new system
Supporting the Quality function to ensure adherence to customer projects/Quality requirements.
