Summary
We are currently looking Facilities Technical Assurance Engineer working with an exciting and growing business in the Data Centre Operations Sector.
The role of this client side Facilities Technical Assurance Engineer is to ensure that the principal maintenance contractor is operating in accordance with current standards and laws.
The Role
Role: Technical Assurance Engineer
Location: London
Client: My client are an owner and operator of Data Centres around the London area.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage Technical Asset Change Management ensuring that change pertaining to engineering plant, equipment systems, firmware, software are clearly documented, and records updated at all times
Manage Operational Technology policy, supporting ongoing ISO 27001 certification
Manage DESEAR, Fire, Noise and Water Assurance Systems
Manage all Technical Standards, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Support adherence with key Business Standards including but not limited to ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 90001
Manage the PMC Technical Managers, ensuring standards are implemented in accordance with the operating teams are afforded and consistently met in accordance with customer requirements.
Manage the Completion Management plans for new facilities, supporting the TFM team in ensuring operational readiness.
Conduct Technical Inspections on a monthly basis, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
Conduct Incident Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reviews, produce associated internal and external reports, and track and share all lessons learnt actions with key stakeholders across the business
Support Compliance team with internal, external and customer audits andoperational readiness assessments
Support, develop and participate in emergency scenario testing/training including supporting SIMEX events.
Experience & Qualifications:
Operating at a Senior or Intermediate Engineer level within an engineering or property environment
Clear understanding of facilities and engineering services policies, procures and standards. Demonstrate experience in leading teams in the correct adoption of said policies, procedures and standards.
Demonstrating practical experience in supporting successfully implementation and validation, specific to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental practices associated with Facilities Management.
Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences.
Must have successful management track record demonstrating excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures.
Travel & Project Locations: The contracted work will be defined within the contract. This role may require travel and stay-overs within the UK. Where multiple projects run in parallel, a significant proportion of time can be spent at the project sites during the implementation phase.
Working Arrangements: The Data Centre facilities operate on a 24/7 365 days a year basis and the individual will be expected to be part of the escalation team, requiring on occasions to either answer the phone out of hours and works outside of normal office hours.
