Description:

We are looking for a proven and seasoned Technical Lead/Enterprise Architect with a broad understanding of most technologies and used to defining workloads and roles and adhering to strategic direction, working with all level of developers and teams. Must have at least 7 year’s experience in the Tier 1 BFSI sector, Telco or Energy (or similar) and have an excellent understanding of modern application technology and Cloud architectures, using leading-edge systems and being able to adsorb new technology and terminology rapidly.

Candidate must have good communication skills, both written and oral and be competent in both senior CXO level and with grassroots Line of Business (LOB) and on-the-ground developers.

Needs to be happy and comfortable in client-facing positions and present well with the ability to think on their feet and work in fast-moving dynamic projects.

Knowledge of front office systems GUI front end and financial aspects and the use of analysis, design and development tools is essential.

The likely candidate will be familiar with concepts, terminology and the usage of JAVA, Cobol, Assembler, PL/1, I/Series and Legacy technology, CICS, IMS DB/2 etc

The requirement is to have a broad set of skills in Enterprise Architecture and design and help to direct and work with clients to define work streams.

Someone who understands application modernisation techniques and approaches to support direct engagements for our Application Modernisation projects including understanding API’s.

Candidates must have excellent skills in English, both written and spoken and must be able to interpret the results from both CAST Highlight and Imaging products and work closely with the customer to develop strategies and roadmaps for modernisation.

Candidates must be able to solve and price development activities for us prepare or contribute to commercial offers and respond to RFP where necessary.

Candidates will be expected to be able to help customers understand where they need to invest and how to modernise legacy applications and scope out workflows, perhaps even simple transcoding using GitHub Co-pilot or similar.

Candidates will be expected to be able to help customers access legacy data and service hosts using Open Legacy APIs and be able to create APIs for customers using the OpenLegacy AI toolbox.

Must have skills: -

Experience working with Mainframe, Server, Solaris & Linux systems

Experience with at least one commercial RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, Sybase)

Experience with messaging and messaging technologies e.g., JMS, MQ Series, Tibco etc

Experience with building API’s and understanding legacy application environment.

Experience with distributed systems in a production environment

Data Modelling & SQL scripting

The work will be in a small and friendly teams and the individual must not only be a team player but be comfortable working under instruction and taking control and using their own initiative. The candidate will be working as part of the delivery team and will be involved in building and modernising applications.
