* Data Engineering
* Data Visualisation
* Data Science
Across these areas, we have 3 technical delivery areas including:
* Data Platforms
* IoT
* Ai
We are a Microsoft Solutions Partner (Azure Data & AI) and are busy building a talented team with relevant skills to deliver industry leading data platforms for our customers.
We are currently experiencing rapid growth while delivering innovative solutions in the IoT space and this has lead to the requirement for a Technical Architect to work alongside our data teams.
Job Description
As the Technical Architect, you will play a crucial role in managing all technical aspects of our projects, with a particular focus on technical architecture, connectivity, IoT integration, data management, and ensuring compliance with our clients' requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
1. Technical Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive technical plan for new projects, covering network infrastructure, power distribution, connectivity solutions, IoT integration, and data management.
2. Requirement Analysis: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to thoroughly understand and analyse their technical requirements, including IoT and data management needs.
3. System Design: Design robust and scalable technical solutions tailored to the project's specific needs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices, including IoT implementation and data handling protocols.
4. Network Infrastructure: Oversee the design and implementation of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks for optimal performance and reliability, integrating IoT devices seamlessly into the network infrastructure.
5. Power Management: Devise strategies for efficient power management within facilities, including backup power systems and energy-saving measures, while considering IoT device power requirements and data processing needs.
6. Connectivity Solutions: Evaluate and select appropriate connectivity solutions (e.g., broadband, fibre optics, satellite) to effectively meet project requirements, considering IoT data transmission requirements and bandwidth needs.
7. IoT Integration and Data Management: Design and implement IoT integration strategies and data management solutions, ensuring secure and efficient collection, storage, processing, and analysis of IoT-generated data.
8. Technical Specifications: Define and document detailed technical specifications and requirements for procurement processes, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budget constraints, and IoT and data management needs.
9. Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and contractors to source necessary equipment and services, negotiate contracts, and oversee quality assurance.
10. Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and challenges early in the project lifecycle and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
11. Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing technical aspects of construction projects, IoT implementations, and data management, such as building codes, data protection laws, and IoT security standards.
12. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, data scientists, and project managers, to integrate technical requirements seamlessly into the overall project plan
