About the role
It is the responsibility of the team supervisor to organise and manage the day to day running of the service provisions through the two service contracts and the organisations policies and procedures. It is the responsibility of the team supervisor to support the Registered Manager/ Service Lead in achieving the aims and objectives of the service and organisation. To assist the Registered Manager to develop and grow the services, maintaining financial viability.
Team Supervisor - Roles & Responsibilities include:
Leading the team in a flexible, responsive service which operates in a timely and person centred manner
Provide day to day supervision of the team, including carrying out formal supervisions, appraisals, team meetings, and performance and absence management, including recruitment
Supervise the team performances against contract stipulations and other key performance indicators, meeting all regulatory standards for allocated services and updating quality and performance toolkits
To ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of vulnerable adults, young people and children in line with safeguarding regulations
Play an active role in the on call, out of hours and safeguarding rotas as and when required
Manage key working caseloads needs, care planning, risk assessments and reviews
To complete internal quality audits including spot checks, service audits and ensure compliance with expected standards and legislation. Feeding back findings to Registered Manager and agree actions to be completed
Lead the health and safety within areas of responsibility
Complete risk assessments and take action on any identified risks
Effective record keeping using the organisations ICT systems and records

About You
We are looking for someone with experience of working with a socially excluded group and with knowledge of mental health issues to work with vulnerable customers. Have experience in a leadership role. You must be able to work on a shift rota which includes evenings, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays. To work in conjunction with other Team supervisor within both of our Shropshire Rehabilitation services.

The successful individual will enable the team to develop their skills, demonstrate your commitment to providing a visible, consistent, supportive management approach, acting as a positive role model, working with an experienced multi-disciplinary team and enhancing support of people who access the service.

Experience:
Management/Supervisory experience in a similar setting, with mental health background
A full understanding of CQC and National Social Care standards
Excellent organisational skills
The ability to lead and supervise others
Level 3 qualification in health and social care or equivalent
