Locum Team Manager – Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Service
Birmingham, West Midlands
£41.42 per hour (Umbrella)
We are recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join a dedicated Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Service in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and Support Staff, ensuring high-quality, child-centred practice and positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise a busy UASC social work team.
* Provide reflective supervision and performance management.
* Oversee safeguarding practice, assessments, and care planning.
* Manage workloads and ensure statutory responsibilities are met.
* Drive service improvement and maintain high practice standards.
Requirements:
* Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
* Significant experience within Children's Services.
* Previous management or supervisory experience.
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership skills.
* Ability to lead teams and manage complex casework effectively.
