Child Protection Conference Service Team Manager
Location: Lambeth, London
Rate: £45.65 per hour (Umbrella)
Start: ASAP
Contract: Temporary
We are seeking an experienced Child Protection Conference Service Team Manager to join the London Borough of Lambeth. This role will focus exclusively on the Child Protection Conference Service and is not a CP Chair position, supporting the service during its transition into the MACPT.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Child Protection Conference Service, ensuring high-quality safeguarding practice.
*
Manage, supervise and support staff, ensuring effective workload and performance management.
*
Ensure Child Protection Conferences are coordinated effectively and statutory timescales are met.
*
Monitor service performance, quality assurance, workload and outcomes for children.
*
Provide professional challenge and ensure the child's voice, safety and best interests remain central.
*
Work effectively with Social Care, Health, Police, Education and other partner agencies.
*
Identify practice gaps and risks and implement appropriate improvement actions.
*
Produce management information and quality assurance reports for senior management.
*
Support service development and changes during the transition to the MACPT.
*
Provide professional expertise in complex safeguarding matters and contribute to strategic service planning.
Requirements
*
Social Work qualification and relevant professional registration.
*
Significant experience within Children's Social Care and Child Protection.
*
Previous Team Manager/management experience in a safeguarding environment.
*
Strong knowledge of statutory child protection processes and legislation.
*
Experience of quality assurance, performance management and multi-agency working.
*
Excellent leadership, communication and professional challenge skills.
Mandatory: Must have a UK Passport or a Full Right to Work in the UK
