Team Manager - Disability Focus (West Devon)

Full Time 37 hours per week

We are currently looking for a Team Manager experienced in working in Adult social care (18-65yrs) for our Disability Focus Team at Devon County Council.

As a team manager in Devon County Council, you will receive regular supervision and an open-door approach from Community Service managers.

The team have regular formal Team Meetings, more informal wellbeing huddles/catchups and group supervision opportunities.

The successful applicant will be leading a team who support vulnerable adults from a range of backgrounds and needs – primarily with a learning disability.

The work will encompass overseeing Community Deprivation of Liberty Assessments, Care Act Assessments, reviews, commissioning care, safeguarding work, CHC work, undertaking Mental Capacity Act assessments and Best Interest decisions. This work is required to support teams with an increase in workload, to reduce wait times and respond in a timely way to mitigate risks.

We require a full-time experienced team manager who can work across our Ivybridge / Kingsbridge and Tavistock area to support the team. We offer a flexible approach to work and place great importance on wellbeing.

Devon County Council is currently operating a hybrid model where workers can work from home but will be required to come into the office on agreed days during the week, minimum 2 days required.

Knowledge of the Care First 6 system an advantage but not essential.
