About the Role

As a Team Manager within Cared for Children, you will lead and support a team of social work practitioners, providing strong supervision, guidance and leadership to help achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team responsible for care planning and reviews for looked after children and young people.
Provide strong supervision, guidance and support, including to ASYE social workers.
Lead complex assessments, interventions and safeguarding work.
Support children and young people to understand their life journey and identity.
Develop strong relationships with children, families and carers.
Manage complex risk and support effective decision-making.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Support court-related work, assessment and analysis.
Contribute to service development and practice improvement.
Share knowledge and expertise to develop less experienced practitioners.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Significant experience working with Cared for / Looked After Children.
Experience in safeguarding and managing complex risk.
Strong assessment, analysis and court skills.
Demonstrable experience of supervision and team leadership.
Child-centred and relationship-focused approach.
Full valid driving licence and access to a car.
