Purpose and objectives of the role

C&C provide accommodation to hundreds of families and individuals on an emergency basis. The families will be placed through a statutory agency after they’ve been assessed.

The purpose of the role is to provide hands on field –based support and leadership to the emergency accommodation officers, cleaners and the night supervisor. You will be required to uphold company policy and procedures. In addition, you will have oversight of compliance with legal and contractual obligations across the department. You will act as the company’s designated safeguarding lead.

You will lead the team to consistently deliver safe, clean and comfortable accommodation. You will monitor your team’s deliverance through a strong presence in the properties and other reporting methods.

Main duties and responsibilities

- Promote continuous improvement

- Carry out line management duties for emergency accommodation officers, cleaners and the night supervisor

- Vehicle inspections

- Property inspections and audits

- Oversee routine fire safety checks and logs

- Incident/accident reporting and investigations

- Lead safeguarding officer

- Embed and uphold company policies and procedures

- Promote a positive reputation to internal and exernal stakeholders

- Work closely with the bookings team to maintain at least 98% occupancy across the portfolio

- Work closely with maintenance to deliver key objectives

- Ensure all property meter readings are submitted on-time

- Cover for direct reports

- Deliver training and oversee training completion

- sign off void properties

- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, and contractual obligations

- Ensure everreach is set up correctly

- Promote teamworking

- Enhance communication

- support new projects/business initiatives

- Participate in On call rota for duty manager cover

- Improve efficiencies and performance

- maintain a minimum of 98% occupancy

- Embed the policies in the Employee and Health and safety handbooks and embed any required changes across the business

- To carry out any other duties as reasonably requested

- At all times adhere to the relevant legislation, good practice, policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Confidentiality and Equal Opportunities.

- Keep full and accurate records in line with relevant policy. Updating logs/diaries to show any changes and ensure message books are up to date after completing evening checks

- Confidentiality – Ensure confidentiality at all times, only releasing confidential information obtained during the course of employment to those acting in an official capacity.

- Data Protection Act – To comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.

- Health & Safety – To ensure you comply at all times with C&C Health & Safety Policy. You are responsible for taking reasonable care with regard to yourself as well as any colleague, client or visitor who might be affected by an act or failure to act by yourself.
