An exciting opportunity has arisen within our School Management Team for a Team Leader – Adult & Community Learning. Supporting the Deputy Head and Head of School, you will support colleagues in the curriculum team to raise the quality of education for all provision.

The Team Leader will support the school and team by leading on a particular theme or area in relation to the school’s objectives or curriculum, such as safeguarding or progression. You will coordinate day-to-day operations of distance learning programs and schedule NCFE courses whilst ensuring that all courses meet the needs, standards and requirements of all partners, including, Wandsworth Borough, Awarding Bodies and employers.

We’d like our Team Leader to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent current teaching skills, recognised as a good or better teacher. You will demonstrate knowledge of the FE sector, including funding streams and the adult education agenda, and have a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes and how these can be used to enhance the student experience.

With high personal standards and expectations, you will have experience of managing, supporting and developing staff and of successfully monitoring and supporting ‘at-risk’ learners to achieve or exceed their potential.You will be receptive to new ideas and initiatives and have a creative approach to problem solving.

Please note that this post is funded for the 2024/25 academic year so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2024.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
