Joining us as a Team Leader – Active Industries, you will be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes for a number of programmes across the School, specifically in the curriculum area of Health & Social Care, Sport and Public Services.

You will monitor academic staff across the School, ensuring quality of teaching being delivered and ensure all the programmes meet the needs, standards and requirements of all partners, including awarding bodies, employers and higher education institutions. This includes the writing and monitoring of self-assessment documentation and the coordination and attendance at self-assessment and validation meetings.

We’re looking for someone who holds a degree or relevant professional qualification in Sport/Sport & Exercise Science and someone who has excellent teaching skills, with experience of successfully monitoring and supporting ‘at-risk’ learners to achieve or exceed their potential. With experience of leading / managing FE & HE programmes, you will have a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes and how these can be used to enhance the student experience and have a strong vision for the improvement and development of the curriculum area.

Experience of managing, supporting and developing staff is desirable.

Subject to a cost of living review from 1 August, the successful candidate will be eligible for any subsequent increase in salary.
