Team Leader - Food Production
Hours: 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday

Salary: £33,360 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and hands‑on Team Leader to support our busy food production operation. Working the afternoon shift, you will ensure production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while maintaining high standards across the team. You will play a key role in monitoring staff performance, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring quality control across all production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support production staff to achieve daily targets
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels throughout the shift, including break planning and task allocation
- Monitor staff performance, providing coaching, feedback, and support where needed - Ensure all hygiene, food safety and quality standards are consistently upheld - Oversee production lines, quickly identifying and resolving issues to minimise downtime
- Carry out quality control checks to ensure products meet required specifications
- Complete shift documentation accurately and communicate effectively with other departments
- Promote a safe, compliant, and positive working environment
About You
- Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A practical, solutions‑focused approach
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 or above desirable)
