Teaching Associate in Sport
Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Contract Type: Varied Roles available– (e.g., Permanent/Part-time/Fixed-term)
Hours: TBC depending on contract - Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

The Role
As a Teaching Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning experiences to the diverse student body across their Sport programmes, namely Sports and Exercise Science, Sports Coaching, Health, Exercise and Sport and Physical Education. Working closely with academic colleagues, you will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative curriculums, ensuring students are engaged and inspired to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the delivery of teaching sessions, workshops, and tutorials.
* Provide support to students through one-to-one sessions and group activities.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
* Collaborate with academic staff to evaluate and enhance teaching and learning practices.
* Contribute to the assessment and feedback process to support student learning and progression.
* Stay abreast of developments in the relevant field and integrate new knowledge into teaching practice.
* Assist in the organisation and maintenance of programme equipment and university spaces
* Support and deliver student outreach activities
* Contribute to the promotion of UA92 Sport programmes
Skills & Experience
* Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
* Experience in teaching or supporting learning in a higher education setting (desirable).
* Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Enthusiasm for innovation and creativity in teaching and learning.
