Location: Gateshead - Ryton (NE40)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary
Contract Duration: April 15th to July 26th
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Reception and KS1 Whole Class Teaching Assistant to join our team for a temporary full-time position. The successful candidate will support the teaching and learning activities within the Reception and Key Stage 1 classes, ensuring the provision of high-quality education and care for our pupils.
Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities suitable for Reception and Key Stage 1 students.
Provide one-to-one support to pupils who require additional assistance with their learning.
Assist with the preparation of learning resources and materials.
Support the social and emotional development of pupils, promoting positive behavior and well-being.
Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil progress and achievement.Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or CACHE Level 3 in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
A passion for working with young children and supporting their educational development.
Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
