Start Date: September 2026

Salary: Competitive pay scale

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Denton, Tameside, that is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The school has a strong focus on supporting pupils' personal development, wellbeing, and positive behaviour. Staff work closely together to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where children feel valued and supported. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team that places relationships, resilience, and pupil progress at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant Level 4 (TA4) to join the school from September. This is a rewarding pastoral role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with their behaviour, wellbeing, and personal development.

The role will involve:

Providing pastoral support to pupils, helping them manage their behaviour and overcome barriers to learning.

Building positive and trusting relationships with students.

Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

Providing classroom cover, mainly during afternoon sessions.

Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team to support individual pupil needs.

Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or has significant relevant experience. Has previous experience working within a school or education setting.

Is confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.

Has a calm, patient, and consistent approach.

Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Works well independently and as part of a wider team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys making a real difference to young people's lives and is passionate about supporting pupils to reach their full potential.

If you are looking for a rewarding role within a supportive primary school environment, we would love to hear from you.
