GSL education is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Phonics Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our team in an Ofsted graded “Good “ school in the south Tyneside area. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of young learners. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
Intervention Teaching Assistant role
Design and deliver effective intervention programs to support the learning needs of primary school students.
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted strategies.
Provide individual and small group instruction to students who require additional support.
Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records of interventions and outcomes.
Using the school’s phonics programme.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications working with children (E.g. Level 3 teaching Assistant) and experience in primary education
A thorough understanding of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students.
A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
RTW in the UK and a fully checkable work history
Availability to work Mon- Fri (phone number removed)pm Term Time only.
Have been trained or used different phonics programs (desirable not essential)
