Smile Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Halesowen, with an immediate start available.

We are looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development. This is a general Teaching Assistant role working across all year groups, rather than a dedicated 1:1 SEN position.

The successful candidate will provide classroom support, work with pupils in small groups and assist the class teacher with the day-to-day learning and development of pupils. There will be children with SEN and additional needs within the classes and groups, so confidence supporting pupils with a range of needs is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
Supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range
Working alongside class teachers to support pupils in the classroom
Providing small-group and targeted learning support
Supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs within the classroom
Helping pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning
Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
Assisting with activities and resources
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Working flexibly across different year groups and classesRequirements
Level 2 qualification or above relevant to education/Teaching Assistant work
Previous experience working with children, preferably within a primary school setting
A caring, patient and nurturing approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to support pupils across different ages and abilities
Confidence supporting children with SEN is desirable
