Job Description:
At Tradewind, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our schools in September 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil who has global developmental delay, supporting their learning and development in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with global developmental delay.
Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored educational plans.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Monitor and record the progress of students, adapting support as necessary.
Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Support students with personal care needs as required.
Encourage social interaction and help develop communication skills.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with global developmental delay.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, SEN qualifications) are desirable but not essential.
