Teaching Assistant- Abergavenny

Academics, a trusted education recruitment agency, is currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Abergavenny.

This rewarding role will involve supporting either one pupil on a 1:1 basis or a small group of learners, depending on the needs of the school. You will play a key role in helping children stay engaged, build confidence, and reach their full potential within a positive learning environment, while also contributing positively to the wider school community through teamwork, school activities, and supporting the school's inclusive ethos.

The role:

Full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant position
Immediate or September start available
Supporting one pupil or small groups throughout the school day
Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and learning support
Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement
Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred)
Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or be prepared to register
Be able to provide two professional references
