Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Haringey, London
Start Date: September 2024
The Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment for children with challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant in Haringey:
Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities.
Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
Manage and support children with challenging behaviour.
Work collaboratively with the SEN team to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals.Requirements as a Teaching Assistant in Haringey:
Experience working with children who have challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with special needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
