We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, youth work or a related field, as well as individuals with previous experience supporting children and young people.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support students across the secondary age range, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting students in the classroom to access learning and reach their full potential.
Working with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
Providing additional support to students who may need help with their learning, confidence or engagement.
Helping to maintain a positive classroom environment and promote good behaviour.
Building positive relationships with students and staff.
Supporting the wider school team to ensure all students feel safe, included and encouraged to succeed.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, patient and adaptable approach.
Confidence working with secondary-aged students.
