Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: Stanley and surrounding areas
Start: Ongoing
Hours: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available
Minimum availability: 2 days per week
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of primary schools in and around the Stanley area and are seeking to recruit qualified Supply Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This role offers excellent flexibility, with opportunities for full-time supply for adaptable candidates, alongside part-time work to suit individual availability. Access to your own vehicle is desirable to support travel between a range of local schools.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils’ learning on a 1:1, small group or whole-class basis
Assist class teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Provide support for pupils with SEN or additional needs where required
Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
Support positive behaviour management in line with school policies
Assist with classroom preparation and general classroom support
Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and classroom settings
Key Requirements
A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
Previous experience working with children in a school or education setting
Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
Availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week
A caring, patient and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Access to your own vehicle (desirable but not essential)
