Job Duties:
Provide one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) designed by the classroom teacher
Support students in their academic and personal development
Help with classroom management and behaviour support
Assist with administrative tasks related to student progress and welfare
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Understanding of autism qualification- preferred
Education:
Relevant educational background or training in supporting students with special educational needs
Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of special educational needs and the ability to provide tailored support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting student learning
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training or qualifications in special educational needs (SEN)
First aid certification
Working Conditions:
Work primarily within a school setting in a small community Primary School in SA33
Full-time hours, following the school term calendar
Across Summer-Term
