Are you passionate about supporting children with special needs? Our Partner School in Shepherd's Bush are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 child with significant speech and language difficulties and challenging behaviour. This exciting role is available to start in September for the new academic year, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent role with the school.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support focusing on speech and language development.
Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours positively.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.
Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes the child's growth.
Monitor and report on the child's progress.Requirements:
Experience in a similar role, preferably in a primary school.
Knowledge of speech and language development strategies.
Strong behaviour management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
