About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in Cardiff. Your role as a teaching assistant is to work closely with teachers to follow instructions and complete tasks. You will be present to support students with their learning in a classroom environment to achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities:
- Be able to provide support to a class of individuals over several tasks such as reading, writing, numeracy and communication.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons, including preparing materials and resources.
- Communicate effectively with members of staff and parents.
- Support the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Reinforce lessons by tutoring individual students or small groups.
- Maintain a classroom culture of health and safety.
Requirements:
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive and determined personality, with a passion for teaching as well as learning.
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team whilst being flexible and adaptable to work with different age groups / various subjects.
