Teaching Assistant

Location: Wandsworth, Battersea
Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September
Pay: £1,851-£2,650 per month

An OFSTED 'Good' school in Wandsworth is offering a fantastic opportunity for a teaching assistant to join their supportive team and develop valuable skills within the education sector, working within a mainstream classroom and supporting SEN students as a teaching assistant. The school provides a positive working environment, structured support from staff, and a strong commitment to pupil development and well being.

The Teaching Assistant's focus is on nurturing confident, independent learners who enjoy learning and thrive within a safe, secure, and stimulating environment where every child is valued as an individual.

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

Working with children aged 2-6 in both indoor and outdoor classes
Supporting child-initiated learning
Helping children with special educational needs
Engaging with students through three different sessions throughout the day
Treating children with respect and kindness as a Teaching Assistant

Job Requirements for a Teaching Assistant:

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
Interest in working with children, specifically those with SEN
Experience working in childcare, either informally or formally
Right to work in the UK

Desirable:
