About the School:

Smile Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Endeavour Trust for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) position at one of their primary schools in Wolverhampton. The school is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for children from multiple Local Authorities. Students at the school have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Complex needs, and challenging behaviour.

Role Overview:
As a SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students on a 1:1 basis, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive within the school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to create a tailored support plan for each student, addressing their individual needs and fostering a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs.
Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of students.
Implement behaviour management strategies to address challenging behaviours.
Support students in developing essential life skills.
Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs.
Hold a minimum of a Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
Understanding of ASD, ADHD, Complex needs, and challenging behaviour.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
