Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant looking for flexible, day-to-day work in primary schools across Birmingham?
Supply Star Recruitment is currently recruiting qualified Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, providing short-term cover for absent TAs in primary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced TAs who want the flexibility to choose when they work.
The Role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide support across a range of primary school settings, helping pupils to access learning and supporting teachers with the smooth running of the classroom.
Assignments will primarily be based in Digbeth and surrounding areas of Birmingham, with opportunities available on a casual, day-to-day basis.
Duties may include:
* Supporting pupils individually or in small groups
* Assisting the class teacher with learning activities
* Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
* Helping maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
* Assisting with classroom preparation and general duties
* Providing cover for absent Teaching Assistants
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
* Have experience working within a primary school environment
* Are confident supporting children across the primary age range
* Can adapt quickly to different schools and classroom environments
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Are reliable, professional and enthusiastic
* Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
