* Support the pupil in accessing learning activities and participating fully in lessons.
* Adapt resources and teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
* Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
* Support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals where appropriate.
* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCo.
* Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in a primary school is essential.
* Experience working in a 1:1 Teaching Assistant role.
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
* A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
We Offer
* A supportive and welcoming three-form entry mainstream primary school.
* A collaborative and experienced leadership and SEN team.
* Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
* A rewarding role where you can make a real difference to a child's learning and development.
* A positive, inclusive, and friendly working environment
