TeacherActive is proud to be working with a high-performing Primary School based in Treorchy, who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. The school boasts a fantastic culture with welcoming staff, enthusiastic children who demonstrate a brilliant attitude towards learning, and a positive ethos centred around developing the next generation of confident and successful learners.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, working across two classes in the upper end of Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support classroom teachers with learning activities, pupil engagement and classroom routines, demonstrating initiative, independence and a proactive approach to ensuring pupils receive the support they need.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable

Experience supporting children within a Primary School setting, ideally across Key Stage 1 / KS1

A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum and classroom expectations

The confidence to work independently and use initiative with minimal instruction

A proactive approach, recognising where support is needed and taking responsibility

A positive, enthusiastic and adaptable attitude towards supporting children's learning and development
