About the Role

Grass Roots are supporting a SEMH school near Ely area who are looking to recruit a Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This exciting opportunity is initially offered as a one-term supply contract, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping to create a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment where every young person can achieve their potential.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist educational setting, gaining valuable experience while making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.

About them

They are a specialist academy rated Good by Ofsted, supporting over 130 pupils aged from early years to key stage 4. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and present with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs.

Our dedicated staff team works collaboratively to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every child is valued, encouraged and supported to develop their skills, confidence and independence.

What They Are Looking For

We are seeking a committed and caring practitioner who:

* Can effectively support pupils’ learning and development within the classroom.

* Is a positive team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to think creatively.

* Has a flexible approach and recognises the importance of providing learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.

* Understands and embraces a therapeutic approach to behaviour, supporting pupils to develop positive behaviours and emotional regulation.

* Is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about making a difference to children and young people’s lives.

Experience of working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND or additional needs would be desirable, but we welcome applications from individuals with the right attitude, commitment and willingness to learn.

What They Offer

They can offer you:

* The opportunity to join a compassionate and inclusive Trust that values the contribution of every member of staff.

* A supportive and friendly team environment.

* The potential for a permanent role following the initial supply period.
