Description:

anzuk education has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, long-term Learning Support Assistant. This is a role starting in September 2024 for the full academic year.

The school is looking to trial suitable teaching assistants before the end of term so you would need to be available for this.

This role is in Newport, and you will play a crucial role in supporting children aged 11-16 with behavioural needs.

Position: Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: ASAP and September 2024
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary: £85.04 a day as a minimum

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

* Work closely with the pupil, supporting them in their academic and personal development.

* Adapt teaching materials to suit the pupil's individual learning style and needs.

* Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil and their classmates.

* Monitor and track the pupil's progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and parents.

* Utilize your creativity and resourcefulness to engage the pupil in educational activities.

What we are looking for:

* Experience: Previous experience working with children or individuals with additional learning needs is essential

* Sports background is desirable not essential

* You will need an enhanced DBS on the update or willingness to process one through us

* Based in Newport or commutable areas
