Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Primary school in Moseley to join their support staff team on a long-term basis. The school’s ethos, combined with high standards of teaching and learning, meaning they achieve consistently strong academic results.

Our client wants to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with two children with SEN in Reception, the children both have mild autism. The school have a strong SEN team that work collaboratively and there are other Teaching Assistants in the class too. Responsibilities in this role include supporting the children to meet their individual needs, keeping the children engaged and monitoring their progress.

This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is full-time.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

Experience working in schools in the UK
Minimum Level 3 qualification
Experience supporting children with SEN
Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
Motivating and encouraging the children
Supporting with learning and development
Working closely with the class teacher
Commitment to the role
Being flexible when needed

A competitive salary of up to £100 per day which equates to £19,500 based on working 5 days a week for the full school year

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Moseley which is easily commutable from areas such as Balsall Heath, Small Heath, Kings Heath, Edgbaston, Tyseley, Sparkhill, Sellyoak, Shirley and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train. The Primary school also has an onsite car park.
