The Role

Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
Helping pupils access differentiated learning activities

Encouraging independence and life skills
Assisting personal care and physical needs as required
Helping maintain an inclusive, safe learning environment

You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals, following individual support and behaviour plans to ensure pupils reach their full potential.

Confidence in supporting pupils with learning difficulties, autism, and communication needs
A patient, caring and resilient approach

Enhanced Child & Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
Satisfactory references covering your most recent 24 months

Experience with positive behaviour support, Makaton, or personal care is beneficial but not required. The school uses Team Teach behaviour management principles and has specialist communication expertise.

Full-Time or Day-to-Day Options

If you want the familiarity of working with the same pupils and staff every day, choose a full-time post. If flexibility is important to you, opt for day-to-day cover. Both options require you to be confident, adaptable, and committed to helping young people develop their independence.
