Secondary School Supply Staff – Birley Academy | Sheffield
The Supply Register | Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Opportunities
The Supply Register is working in partnership with Birley Academy in Sheffield to recruit experienced and reliable supply staff to support the school across a range of classroom and learning support roles.
We have flexible opportunities available, including day-to-day cover, short-term assignments and long-term placements.
We're particularly interested in candidates with previous secondary school or Further Education (FE) experience who can confidently support pupils in a busy school environment.
Available Roles
We are recruiting supply staff across a variety of positions, including:
General Classroom Cover
Cover Supervisors
Teaching Assistants
Learning Support Assistants
Behaviour Support Staff
Subject-Specific Support
Intervention and Small-Group Support
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-prepared lessons or support classroom teaching
Maintain positive classroom behaviour and pupil engagement
Support students with learning activities and progress
Assist with small-group interventions and additional learning support
Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Requirements
Previous experience working in a secondary school or FE setting (essential)
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Confidence supporting pupils and managing classroom routines
A reliable, adaptable and professional approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
