Year 6 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wandsworth
Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Tooting, within the London Borough of Wandsworth, on a full-time basis after half term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their final year of primary school, helping them prepare for SATs, build confidence and achieve their full potential as they transition to secondary school.
The Role
Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons.
Providing targeted support to Year 6 pupils individually and in small groups.
Assisting with SATs preparation, particularly in English and Maths.
Supporting pupils’ academic progress, behaviour and emotional well-being.
Helping to create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
Experience supporting KS2 pupils, ideally in Year 6.
An understanding of the primary curriculum and SATs preparation.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, patient approach.
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.What’s on Offer?
