Role: Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full time, Part Time

About the school:

This opportunity is located at a diverse secondary school in Bourne End. The ideal candidate will play an integral part in inspiring SEND students to reach their full potential and develop their skills in a highly supportive school.

Key responsibilities:

Plan and teach lessons, ranging from 1-on-1 sessions to small groups
Prepare teaching materials, write reports
Manage behaviour, talk with staff and parents about children’s progress
Work closely with specialist teaching services
Requirements:

Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge and understanding of the KS3/KS4 curriculum
DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one
Able to commit to working fixed days – full or part time
Previous experience working with SEN children

Good knowledge of SEN and passion to develop
Able to commit to working fixed days – full or part time
Holds a DBS or ability to obtain DBS
