GSL Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant at one of our client primary schools in Camden. The school is dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to students with Autism. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping these students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Job Description:
Assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
Supporting students during classroom activities, ensuring their engagement and understanding.
Providing one-on-one support to students with specific learning goals.
Promoting social interaction and facilitating positive relationships among students.
Assisting with behaviour management and implementing strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
Collaborating with the teaching team and other professionals to assess student progress and adapt instructional techniques accordingly Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with Autistic students in a primary school setting will be an advantage.
Knowledge of strategies and techniques for supporting students with autism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
