Pay: £92.63–£106.52 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming primary school in Wembley is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with younger children and is passionate about helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning. The role will involve working closely with a child in Reception, providing consistent day-to-day support while also contributing to the wider classroom environment.

The school is looking for someone who is nurturing, proactive, and able to build a strong relationship with a young child. Experience within Early Years is beneficial, although candidates from a range of backgrounds who have relevant experience working with children will be considered.

The Role:

* Supporting a Reception-aged child throughout the school day

* Helping the child engage with classroom activities and the wider school environment

* Providing encouragement and support with communication, social development, and independence

* Helping the child follow routines and take part in activities alongside their peers

* Working alongside the class teacher and wider school team to support positive progress

* Contributing to a calm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

* Supporting the wider Reception class where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate:

* Experience working with young children in a school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting

* A warm, patient, and engaging personality

* Able to build positive and trusting relationships with children

* Calm and consistent when supporting children who may need additional encouragement

* Proactive, adaptable, and willing to get involved in the wider classroom

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Relevant experience in Early Years, childcare, education, psychology, or a similar field is desirable but not essential
